Mini Lick Tank
The Mini Lick Tank provided by LFI is creating excitement in the dairy industry. It’s small oval size, (37" L X 26" W X 20" H) give dairymen the flexibility of slipping the tank into the smaller stalls used in grouping heifers in a free stall situation. The sturdy polyurethane tank comes has two 22 inch lick wheels and holds approximately 190 liters, roughly 250 kg of LPS42.
Ingenious farmers have come up with many ways to fill these tanks – using 1 tonne polyurethane totes or larger storage tanks as nurse tanks. LFI fills the nurse tanks and the farmer fills the mini tanks.
Daily consumption depends on many variables (principally body size and the supply of other energy sources). Typical consumption is about 0.5 kg / head / day.
Typically, the mini lick tank with two wheels can comfortably feed 40 head.
Ideally, place the lick tank away from water source (although be sure your cattle have access to unlimited water). LPS does not contain added salt, so be sure to provide a salt lick for your cattle as well.
Perfect tool for saving time for farm managers:
• No mess
• Easy to use
• Durable
