Silage & Haylage
Producing a high quality home grown forage is key for increased production and productivity on dairy and beef operations – and overall profitability. The quality of the silage is impacted by the quality of the ensiling process. Fermentation converts sugars in the forages into acids to preserve the silage / haylage. LFI Haylage and Silage products provide readily available sugars to get the silage fermentation off to a rapid start while at the same time providing additional protein and minerals that help to optimize silage preservation and provide added nutrition to your feeding program. The use of sugars from LFI products “spares” some of the natural sugars in your forages so that the total sugar content of your treated forage has a greater compliment of sugars than untreated silage.
